History & Background
After many wonderful and fulfilling years at home, my three children were growing up and the time felt right for me to look to my own future and what I wanted to achieve.
Many years earlier, on leaving school, I had trained as a medical secretary and worked on the Gastro-Intestinal Unit of a large teaching hospital. I remember being amazed then at the lack of nutritional or dietary advice that our patients received and always felt that this was an undervalued aspect of their overall health picture and their aid to recovery. My journey then took a diversion for several years into the retail trade, working in advertising, promotions and buying, but it was this role of nutrition in health that now came back to interest me.
I sourced many courses, many of which were interesting but did not capture fully my passion, until I read the prospectus for the College of Natural Nutrition which incorporated the holistic approach to healing that I was looking for.
I enrolled in the year 2000, qualifying one year later with my Diploma and continuing for a second year to gain clinical and practical experience. These were happy days indeed, as through this experiential journey, I finally began to know who I truly was and what I wanted, as well as making some incredible friends along the way.
On finishing my studies I remained with the College as a support tutor, helping the new students, and then moved across as a tutor and student mentor to join The Nutritional Healing Foundation at its inception in 2005, where I was able to preach what I practised!
Since 1996 I had also been exploring my own personal spiritual path alongside that of my partner David. Throughout these years I completed Reiki I, II and III, Magnified Healing, learnt how to dowse and experienced working with the vibrations of crystals and essences. I have been fortunate in having a very special teacher by my side throughout my journey in David, as he is undoubtedly one of our most gifted channels of healing energy. If you don’t already know his work then I suggest a visit to www.davidashworth.com.
- My own spiritual development is continuous, often challenging, but always rewarding.
In my spare time I love gardening, walking, particularly in woodlands, and have my own allotment to grow fresh, organic fruit and vegetables for us to enjoy seasonally.
I am fortunate to live a very healthy, happy and fulfilled life with the freedom to work with those people who are seeking change and development.
- Ultimately helping others to help themselves
